Andy is a 34 year old filmmaker. He has been making short films since 2011, on a self taught level until returning to education in 2021, where he studied BA (Hons) Film and Television Production at Teesside University. He graduated in 2024 with First Class Honours.
Andy has worked on external projects for Autism Matters and Paul Suggitt, but also operates under the banner of Winward Studios for his own personal projects.
Andy was a recipient of the Franc Roddam Production Bursary which helped towards the funding of his final major project at university.
Andy’s work has gained recognition and awards. These include winning Best Film twice at Middlesbrough International Film Festival, receiving Official Nominee and Official Selection status at Tees Valley International Film Festival. Being amongst the winners of the Jurassic Park ReCreate 25th Anniversary Competition and being screened on ITV’s This Morning.
