Aisha is a poet, writer, facilitator and the founder of Write Yourself Well; a business aiming to provide accessible online and in person creative writing spaces; workshops and products that all focus on writing for wellbeing. She has facilitated workshops for Tees Women Poets; Crossing the Tees Festival; MVDA; Open Door Arts and performed for Between the Tides Festival; Sunday Girl; My Sister’s Place and Assist Women.

Aisha enjoys running workshops to different audiences from primary or secondary school to university students to those with lived experiences. Alongside her writing workshops, Aisha likes to experiment with other art forms and blending these with the written word. In particular, she has found collage to be an excellent way to combine visual and written art.

Her preferred creative practice is poetry, and she enjoys poetic note-taking for events. She has just completed her first complete collection of poetry which she will publish soon, and is currently working on her debut novel. Although her work usually focuses on anxiety, nature and her journey of growth; she is always exploring new topics and themes to write about. She has had work commissioned by Middlesbrough Art Week, Dumb Blonde?, Sunday Girl, TedxTeessideWomen and Untitled No1.

She has a Level 3 in Counselling Skills and has completed her MA in Creative Writing; she has hopes to also complete a PhD.
