Hira Ramzan is an artist from Thornaby. She studied BA(Hons) Interior Architecture and Design at Teesside University in 2023.
Previous experience includes working on the caravan interior of ‘Robson and Jim’s fly fishing adventures’ during 2022, where she worked as part of a small team with 4 days to complete the decoration of the caravan, removing the wallpaper and repainting all of the cupboards, drawers and walls.
As well as this, Hira was a summer intern at The Auxiliary during Sonic Art Week and Middlesbrough Art Week 2023.
In February, Hira worked with Unfolding Theatre as a Design Assistant and Assistant Stage Manager on their theatre production of Night Classes. She produced handmade signage for the show. She also created and illustrated a fold out prop book that was a key part of the show. She assisted the Deputy Stage Manager in preparing props and getting the space ready for rehearsals and performances.
Hira recently worked with Stellar Creates on their event Happy Rooms where she prepared the space and helped artists create their rooms. She designed the areas outside the rooms and created decorative pieces to add colour to the space.
Hira hopes to find her dream job of designing sets for theaters and movies.
