Metal Music Artist / Sound Designer / Short Film Enthusiast
After spending sixteen years out of the country, living and growing up in Holland and the Middle East, I found myself back in England and ready for University where I completed a BE in Music Technology at the University of Teesside.
My main realm of experience is within audio and music production. Where I have spent years composing music, exploring sound design, recording, mixing and mastering audio. As a solo artist I make music under the name of “a Circle of Teeth” where I blend Metal and Industrial into a form of expression that best suits my style. I also co-host a radio show called Lone Frequencies which airs weekly on Mad Wasp Radio. The aim of the show is to give a platform for unsigned bands and artists from around the world and of any genre.
Music and video naturally come together and can enhance the material so I found it to be a very natural progression to start utilising visuals more in combination with my music. This eventually lead to working on short films where I was able to design soundtracks, edit the video and work on the story of the short film. I have also worked on interviews of people in the local area in a collaborative project called Raven Oak Studios which is geared towards sharing what people in the Teesside area do.
