Jonathan is an ilustrator and designer from Darlington, North-East England, with an eye for detail and a vivid imagination.
Jonathan is inspired by how imagery can embody themes, encapsulate atmospheres and weave narratives and enjoys delving deep into background research to gain thorough appreciation for projects.
They achieved a Distinction in Foundation Diploma in Art and Design in 2017 whilst developing the illustrations for children’s book ‘Snowdrop the Spikeshuffler’ by Peter Barron alongside the college course. Snowdrop the Spikeshuffler was published with the support of the North East Autism Society – an organisation proving support and advocating for people on the Autistic Spectrum – for which Jonathan now serves as an ambassador.
Jonathan started studying BA Hon Graphic Design & Illustration at Teesside University (MIMA School of Art & Design) in 2018 and recently graduated with a 2:1.In March 2022 Jonathan started a part-time role with Zizus Day Care as part of a digital marketing apprenticeship alongside freelance illustration work.
